Elizabeth Carrington Morris
Elizabeth Carrington Morris was an American botanist known for her studies of the flora of Philadelphia, particularly ferns and carnivorous pitcher plants. Along with her sister, Margaretta Morris, she has been credited by historian Catherine McNeur with helping to transform American science in the 19th century by sharing her rare plant species with collections worldwide, and supporting the next generation of botanists.
